B.Tech (Marine Engineering)

The program is run on three campuses of IMU namely, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai. You can start working as a trainee engineer with ship and vessel management companies, marine administrators and much more after the completion of your course.

B.Tech (Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering)

Only the Indian Marine University’s Visakhapatnam campus runs this course as of now. You can start your career in design, operation regulations, surveying and overseeing and much more.

This program is being hosted at Chennai and Navi Mumbai campuses. Point of consideration-

This program is hosted by only two campuses. Chennai and Kochi. This program has the capacity to teach around 100 students. Some important points are listed below.

M.Tech (Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering)

A naval architect is someone who designs, studies, explores the types of equipment and their impacts on the environment. Only the Indian Medical University-Visakhapatnam campus offers this course.

M.Tech (Marine Engineering and Management)

This course is offered at IMU Kolkata. There are many career options that become available after completing this course. You can enter in shipping, machinery manufacturing industries, or work as a chief engineer. Some points to be noted about this course are given below.

  • Eligibility Criteria- 60% average in B.Tech/BE in Marine or Mechanical Engineering/ Naval Arch. For other criteria please refer to the brochure

MBA (International Transportation and Logistics Management)

IMU Chennai, Kolkata, Kochi and Visakhapatnam offer this course. It is a reputed course that gets you working as a warehouse manager, purchase manager and more.

  • Eligibility Criteria– 50% in bachelors and 50% in English in 10th/12th/UG
  • Age– No age restriction
  • SC/ST relaxation– 5% relaxation in eligibility but not on English status
  • Medical Grounds– A fitness certificate is required
  • Residential– No

MBA (Port & Shipping Management)

This course is offered at the Chennai and Kochi campuses of IMU. MBA in port and shipping personnel can land a career like operations manager that earns around 7.1 lakhs per annum. There are more possibilities that come up once this course gets completed.
